DIN 11853-3:2011-04

This standard applies for dimensions, design and materials of hygienic screwed pipe connections with o-ring, short type, for butt welding to pipes with dimensions according to DIN 11866 and DIN 11850, series 2. The hygienic screwed pipe connections are designed for use only with suitable clamps for the following permissible pressures: - tube outside diameter from 12,7 mm to 41,0 mm: 4,0 MPa (40 bar); - tube outside diameter from 42,4 to 70,0 mm: 2,5 MPa (25 bar); - tube outside diameter from 76,1 to 104,0 mm: 1,6 MPa (16 bar). These pressures in MPa (bar) can be applied when suitable sealing materials from -10 °C to +140 °C are used.
