About this product

Technical rules for pipelines
Paperback edition

(Please note: This publication is only available in German.)

No matter whether it’s liquids such as water, gases such as natural gas or even slurries: pipeline systems often enable transport over long distances far more cost-effectively and in some cases more safely than rail or road transport, for example. Nevertheless, pipelines are subject to a risk that has considerable consequences in the event of damage — the legal regulations are correspondingly strict and numerous. In order to facilitate the correct application of the existing regulations and ordinances, DIN Media offers this book, now in its 4th edition, as a working aid containing six important documents on the subject.

The book brings together the regulations relevant to the handling of pipeline in a clearly organized volume, paperback edition of which is handy, convenient and compact. “TRFL — Technical rules for pipelines)” contains:

  • Environmental Impact Assessment Act — UVPG (excerpt)
  • Federal Pipeline Ordinance — RohrFLtgV
  • Installations Monitoring Act (ÜAnlG)
  • Ordinance on Safety and Health Protection in the Use of Work Equipment (Industrial Safety Ordinance — BetrSichV)
  • Technical rule for pipeline — TRFL

The Technical Rules for Pipeline (TRFL) have regulated pipeline operation since 2002. With the new version of the TRFL in 2024, the Committee for Pipelines and the Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation and Nuclear Safety (BMUV) have introduced important innovations. Those responsible for pipelines are given a new basis for their work and must adapt to the changed requirements for design and construction, operation, monitoring and quality.

DIN Media provides the current edition of the TRFL in a practical anthology with other relevant legal documents. This gives you the following advantages:

  • Stay up to date
All documents included are up to date: With this edition, you can be sure that you have an eye on the valid legal framework for 2024.

  • Clarity
Instead of a multitude of books or legal texts on the Internet, you have all the important documents at your fingertips in this useful collection.

The individual documents provide content overviews from which the central points can be read.

The TRFL does not cover: Long-distance pipelines for public gas supply, pipelines for acetylene, long-distance pipelines subject to mining law and long-distance oxygen pipelines for the German Armed Forces. If necessary, however, the technical rule can be applied analogously.

Included in this book:
