Technical drawings are the basis of many engineering, architectural, documentation and production activities, and their uniformity is important for maximizing compatibility and comprehensibility. Standards are the way to achieve standardization. This book contains the most important basic standards in the field of technical drawing, handily combined in one volume.

The documents collected in this book cover a broad spectrum: They offer sound advice on preparation, terms and basic requirements, as well as more detailed information such as the various projection methods and information on the representation of special parts such as threads. The latest basic standards of technical drawing

The standards compendium “Technisches Zeichnen 1” provides interested parties with a comprehensive collection of documents that not only originate directly from the standardization of technical drawing, but also include relevant basic standards for technical documentation. The 15th edition of this tried and tested set of standards is now available. The changes include:

• 4 newly included standards
  As part of the revision and reorganisation, the previous Part 20 to Part 50 of the DIN EN ISO 128 series of standards have been transferred to the new standards DIN EN ISO 128 Part 2 and Part 3; these two standards on the general principles of representation in technical product documentation are included here for the first time. For the first time, this collection of standards also includes DIN EN ISO 129-1 with the basic principles for the presentation of dimensions and tolerances. The fourth new addition is DIN ISO 15786 for the representation and dimensioning of holes.
   
• 12 revised standards
  The changes made since the publication of the previous edition in 2011 are varied and range from minor editorial changes to major updates to the content. These include, for example, DIN ISO 128-1, which is affected by the complete restructuring of the standards series, DIN 509 on relief grooves, which has been given a new annex on unambiguous dimensioning and tolerancing, and DIN ISO 6414, in which a number of adjustments and additions have been made.
