DIN VDE V 0888-100-1-1:2017-10

This pre-standard supplements the International Standard IEC 60794-1-1 with national labeling of cables and fibers and is thus valid for fiber optic cables (FOC cables) for use in communication systems and in systems in which similar processes are used, as well as for cables in which a combination of fiber optic cables and electrical conductors is used. The purpose of this pre-standard is to standardize the labeling of FOC cables using a type abbreviation, as well as coloring and the counting sequence of the fibers in a loose tube. Compared to DIN EN 60794-1-1 Supplement 1 (VDE 0888-100-1 Supplement 1):2014-04, the requirements for strain relief elements and the cable sheath have been added. The DKE (German Commission for Electrical, Electronic and Information Technologies) at DIN and VDE is responsible.
