Overview

This prestandard for an emergency and danger response system (NGRS) describes, among other things, technical processes and responsibilities to support all processes from the recording of an event (emergency, hazard) to its final handling. It includes the technical risk management with protection goal definition and process organization as well as the necessary specifications for a risk management file. This prestandard defines three different levels of security with the product functionalities required for each. The selection of the products that can be used as technical tools within an emergency and danger response system is the responsibility of the risk manager to be employed. The selection of the technologies used in an emergency and danger response system determines the type and manner of support for managing emergency and hazard situations. The responsible committee is DKE/UK 713.1 "Gefahrenmelde- und Überwachungsanlagen" ("Alarm and surveillance systems") of the DKE (German Commission for Electrical, Electronic and Information Technologies) at DIN and VDE.
