DIN VDE V 0681-3:2016-11

This prestandard applies to fuse tongs to work on live parts with nominal voltages of 1 kV to 36 kV for indoor and outdoor use, but not in wet weather. It shall be used only in conjunction with DIN VDE V 0681-1 (VDE V 0681-1). Fuse tongs in accordance with this standard may only be used under certain conditions in factory-asembled installations or parts of installations, for example in accordance with DIN EN 62271-200 (VDE 0671-200) and DIN EN 62271-201 (VDE 0671-201). DIN VDE V 0681-1 (VDE V 0681-1), 4.2.2 shall be observed. This standard differs from DIN 57681-3 (VDE 0681-3):1977-03 as follows: a) The marking in accordance with DIN 48699 "Insulator" has been replaced by the marking in accordance with IEC 60417-5216 (DB: 2002-10) "Double triangle". b) The normative and informative references to other standards and the Bibliography have been updated. c) The scope of the retesting has been specified (informative). The responsible committee is DKE/UK 214.4 "Ausrüstung und Geräte zum Arbeiten unter Spannung; Prüfgeräte, Isolierstangen und Vorrichtungen zum Erden und Kurzschließen" ("Equipment and devices for live working; test apparatus, insulating rods and devices for grounding and short circuiting") of the DKE (German Commission for Electrical, Electronic and Information Technologies) at DIN and VDE.
