Overview
This Technical Specification covers active laser detectors responsive to diffuse reflection (to be designated ALDDR) that are installed in buildings and used as part of intruder alarm systems. It provides for four security levels and four environmental classes. The purpose of an ALDDR is to detect an intruder within a predetermined area and to provide the necessary range of signals and messages for use by the rest of the intruder detection system. The responsible committee is DKE/UK 713.1 "Gefahrenmelde- und Überwachungsanlagen" ("Alarm and surveillance systems") of the DKE (German Commission for Electrical, Electronic and Information Technologies) at DIN and VDE.
