DIN CEN/TS 16032:2010-11

This DIN SPEC pre-standard has been prepared under the mandate M/335 given to CEN by the European Commission to validate the test methods specified in Annex IV of EC Regulation No 2003/2003 relating to fertilizers, adapt them to the state of the art and to publish them as European Standards. At first the document is published as a Technical Specification. After appropriate acceptance it is intended to adopt CEN/TS 16032 as a European Standard under the Unique Acceptance Procedure (UAP). DIN SPEC 1154 specifies a method for extraction and determination of the elemental sulfor contained in fertilizers. After the removal of soluble compounds, sulfor is extracted by using carbon disulfide, followed by gravimetric determination of the sulphur extracted. In this document reference is made to special safety measures when carbon disulfide is used. The method is applicable to EC fertilizers according to Annex I of Regulation (EC) No 2003/2003 relating to fertilizers.
