DIN CEN/TS 115-4:2015-12

DIN CEN/TS 115-4 (DIN SPEC) This document contains a collection of interpretations related to the EN 115 series. Interpretations to other standards of the EN 115 series will be added when they are available. Interpretations aim to improve the understanding of the clause(s) they are referring to and by that facilitating common understanding between manufacturers, lift installers, notified bodies, inspection bodies and national authorities. Interpretations do not have the same status as the standards to which they are related. However, the application of interpretations should give to the interested parties confidence that the relevant standard has not been wrongly applied. This standard contains the German version of CEN/TS 115-4:2015, which has been prepared by Technical Committee 10 "Lifts, escalators and moving walks" of the European Committee for Standardization (CEN), which expands CEN/TS 115-4:2014 by further interpretations and replaces it. During the preparation of the standard, the national interests were represented by Working Committee NA 060-33-02 AA "Fahrtreppen und Fahrsteige" ("Escalators and passenger conveyors") of the Standards Committee Mechanical Engineering (NAM) at DIN. Representatives of manufacturers and users of escalators and moving walks, as well as representatives of professional and trade associations were involved in the preparation of the standard.
