Short description
This standard describes the qualification requirements for persons testing the liquid tightness of sealing surfaces using an air testing system (VDI 6230 Part 1). In operational practice, the selection is based on the type of secondary barrier requiring monitoring and the qualifications of the person carrying out the test. The person carrying out the test must be reliable, independent with regard to the test activity and physically fit to carry out the test. The standard specifies the requirements that the person carrying out the test shall fulfil. The aim is to test sealing surfaces by means of an air overpressure test using test equipment. The target group for this standard are operators of AwSV facilities, authorities, expert organisations, WHG specialist companies and engineering offices that are active in the field of water protection and are affected by this topic.
