Short description
This standard defines the basic requirements for the selection, integration, components and operation and assistance systems on industrial trucks (in short: FFZ). It is aimed at manufacturers of assistance systems for industrial trucks, manufacturers of industrial trucks and their operators. For manufacturers, the standard provides basic information about the requirements for the properties of individual components and defines an interface and a data protocol for communication between the assistance systems and the industrial trucks. The interface specified in this standard is intended to enable manufacturers of assistance systems for industrial vehicles to adapt the systems to industrial vehicles in a simple and standardized manner. For operators, the standard provides application information in order to plan the possible use of assistance systems for industrial trucks. It provides support for the selection of assistance systems for industrial trucks and for integration into the operational process. Assistance systems for industrial trucks, as exemplified in this standard, can make a contribution to reducing internal accidents if they are correctly selected. In addition, you can increase driving comfort for the operator, facilitate operation, and improve ergonomics. This also leads to efficiency gains in day-to-day operations.
