Short description
Emissions of bioaerosols can occur when handling organic materials. In the process, different and sometimes very specific microorganisms are emitted from the various types of installations and transported into the environment. The resulting immissions can lead to exposure of residents to bioaerosols and possibly to adverse effects on human health. This standard provides an up-to-date overview of plant-related measurement parameters relevant to environmental medicine for the most important types of plants where bioaerosol emissions and immissions are significant, and an orientation for their environmental medical assessment. This standard enables timely adaptation and supplementation to new findings on installations and sources, their guide parameters, and their assessment.
