Short description
This standard describes a method for predicting the rating level of the muzzle blast of a single shot from a handgun at a shooting position on a shooting stand in the neighbourhood of a shooting range. It is to be used if a metrological determination of the A- and F-weighted levels of the emission situations is not possible, which is the case with the construction of a shooting range in accordance with 4th BImSchV Annex 1 No. 10.18 (shooting range under firearms law). The procedure is applicable to shooting ranges that consist of one or more shooting stands and may have safety components. It can be applied analogously to military shooting ranges, but the military firearms and the special features of their use must be taken into account.
