Short description
The standard supplements the bolt calculation in accordance with VDI 2230 Part 1 and Part 2 by providing a detailed presentation and description of assembly methods and influencing factors on the assembly of bolted joints, in particular friction. By applying the design measures described in the standard and carrying out the assembly correctly, damage that is more than 50 % attributable to incorrect or poorly executed assembly can be avoided. Often this damage does not occur immediately, but several years after installation. The standard is aimed at product development, design, technical service providers, experts, certifiers, insurance companies and others.
