Overview

This DIN SPEC according to the PAS procedure has been prepared in the framework of the InfraNorm project. The aim of this DIN SPEC according to the PAS procedure is to represent and define the threat situation for critical infrastructures such that the threats become known to building owners wanting to protect themselves and, as a result, derivative design principles can be prepared. Threats to critical infrastructural structures as they are, for instance, investigated and assessed in the framework of the national research project "Research for Civil Security" regarding threats to bridges, tunnels, airports and urbane environments are taken into consideration. On this basis, the critical infrastructure and threat are defined. Threat is limited to terrorism, as all other events are, for the most part, already covered by existing standards.
