gefma guidelines describe relevant facility management applications. The individual guidelines are interdependent. The guidelines give orientation and provide assurance on topics such as quality management, cost accounting, contract preparation, CAFM and further training. gefma guidelines are dedicated to innovative topics that influence the future of facility management.
gefma provides tools and specialist support for all market stakeholders. The guidelines that have been developed aim to provide legal clarity for users, and some guidelines have been developed into quality standards with certification. For facility management IT applications (CAFM Computer Aided Facility Management), gefma provides working materials and has its own certification system that guarantees software products meet a minimum standard. What’s more, gefma defines requirements for employee qualification and consequently shapes the professional profile of facility managers. Twelve gefma working groups are responsible for the development of the guidelines.
gefma guidelines are intended to offer support to all facility management users, consultants, service providers, IT developers and all other interested stakeholders.
