Overview

This standard specifies the design, dimensions and materials for flanges for outboard connections used on castings made of copper tin alloys in fluid-carrying pipelines for temperatures up to 225 °C. For operating temperatures above 225 °C and when other materials are used, a recalculation according to DIN EN 1591 (draft) is required with the corresponding strength values. Flanges according to this standard are shock-proof when properly supported.
