Overview

This standard specifies the design, dimensions and materials for flanges used on castings (for example, valves, pump housings) made of copper tin alloys for fluid-carrying pipelines for temperatures. For operating temperatures above 120 °C and when other materials are used, a recalculation according to DIN EN 1591 (draft) is required with the corresponding strength values. Flanges conforming to this standard are shockproof when properly supported.
