Short description
This document has been declared "Stabilized" and will no longer be subjected to periodic reviews for currency. Users are responsible for verifying references and continued suitability or technical requirements. New technology may exist. This specification has been declared "NONCURRENT" as of May 2007. It is recommended, therefore, that this document not be specified for new designs. The SAE AC-9C Aircraft Icing Technology Subcommittee reviewed the AIR4015A document in 2005. The committee elected to change this AIR document to a noncurrent status, revised to document the history and limited currency of the document. This decision was made to ensure that this historical document will be permanently retained and be made available by the SAE. With a noncurrent status, the document will no longer require future SAE review and update cycles. This Icing Technology Bibliography is a compendium of references from the open literature that were published prior to the original 1987 issuance of the AIR, including both national and foreign sources. Due to the generality of the subject, and the difficulty of fully investigating every available source, the Bibliography in this document is not intended to be complete. The main purpose of the Icing Technology Bibliography is to present in one location all the significant documented icing work of various institutions and organizations throught the world through 1986.
