Overview

This standard defines the framework for the standardized operation and quality of service as they are already provided through freely available data registries for ITS safety messages and data concepts. For example, application of the eCall requires standardized messages (MSD) which are supplemented with optional data depending on the wishes and ideas of vehicle manufacturers. By doing so, these standardized messages or other environmental data can be used for other applications, both on-board as well as off-board (for example, data recorders, etcetera). The aim is to specify a long term basis of consolidated data by data registry for safety-relevant ITS data.
