Overview
The test standard describes a method for measuring insulation of footwear against heat or cold in order to provide information for assessing footwear comfort. The document is applicable to all types of closed footwear or boots except for footwear used as personal protective equipment. The standard replaces DIN EN 12784:2000. The standard has been technically revised; in particular methods of testing the heat insulation have been added. The committee responsible for this standard is NA 062-04-52 AA "Schuhe" ("Footwear") at DIN.
Please get in touch with the relevant contact person at DIN if you have problems understanding the content of the standard or need advice on how to apply it.
