Overview

This International Standard specifies a chromatographic method to determine the amount of short-chain chlorinated paraffins (SCCP) (C10-C13) in processed and unprocessed leathers. This document specifies a chromatographic method to determine short-chain chlorinated paraffins (SCCPs), whether processed or not, in leather. This document has been prepared by Technical Committee CEN/TC 289 "Leather", the secretariat of which is held by UNI (Italy), in collaboration with the "International Union of Leather Technologists and Chemists Societies (IULTCS)". The responsible national standardization committee is Working Committee NA 062-05-52 AA "Chemische Prüfverfahren für Leder" ("Chemical test methods of leather") at DIN Standards Committee Materials Testing (NMP).
