This standard specifies the design, construction and installation of permanently installed galley stoves and heating appliances using fuels which are liquid at atmospheric pressure. It includes open flame galley stoves, ceramic hobs, blown air heaters and water heating appliances. This standard has been prepared under a mandate given to CEN by the European Commission to provide one means of conforming to Essential Requirements of the New Approach Directive 2013/53/EU. This standard applies to small watercraft with a hull length of up to 24 m and specifies the relevant requirements of the aforementioned directive for recreational craft in Annex ZA on the fuel system, firefighting and the owner's manual. This standard is a revision of DIN EN ISO 14895:2003, the scope of which has been extended to include heaters. The responsible committee for this standard is ISO/TC 188/WG 29, which is mirrored nationally by Working Group NA 132-08-01-09 AK "ISO/TC 188/WG 29 Kochherde" ("ISO/TC 188/WG 29 Cooking ranges").
This document replaces DIN EN ISO 14895:2003-05 .
