Overview

This standard specifies test methods for determination of radio-opacity of a test material by reference to a specimen of an aluminium standard. This test may be performed with conventional or digital sensoring techniques of dental X-ray apparatus. The International Standard has been prepared by ISO/TC 106/SC 1/WG 10 "Dental luting cements, bases and liners" (secretariat: BSI, United Kingdom), in collaboration with CEN/TC 55 "Dentistry" (secretariat: DIN). At DIN the responsible Working Committee is NA 014-00-01 AA "Füllungswerkstoffe" ("Filling materials") at NADENT.
