The standard DIN EN ISO 10322 specifies requirements for the optical and geometrical properties of semifinished lens blanks with finished progressive-power and degressive-power surfaces. The revised version of Part 2 presented here applies to progressive-power and degressive-power lens blanks. Compared to the previous edition of the standard (June 2006), the scope of application has been expanded: It now also includes single-sided finished degressive-power lens blanks. The description of the measurement methods has been fundamentally revised. The standard has been prepared by ISO/TC 172/SC 7 "Ophthalmic optics and instruments" in collaboration with CEN/TC 170 "Ophthalmic optics" (both secretariats: DIN, Germany). The responsible committee at DIN is Working Committee NA 027-01-08 AA "Augenoptik" ("Ophthalmic optics"), Working Group "Brillenfassungen" ("Spectacle frames") at NAFuO.
This document replaces DIN EN ISO 10322-2:2006-06 .
