DIN EN 62820-1-1:2017-06

This International Standard specifies the technical requirements for building intercom systems and devices used for building access. Building intercom systems can operate independently and can be expandable to incorporate building security management functions, for example, with a security management system operated by security personnel (doorman, receptionist, security guard, porter and so on), or in conjunction with other equipment according to the security requirements of the building. It can consist of visitor call system, user reception system, security management system, power supply unit, additional devices as well as interface devices to other security systems. The responsible committee is DKE/UK 713.1 "Gefahrenmelde- und Überwachungsanlagen" ("Alarm and surveillance systems") of the DKE (German Commission for Electrical, Electronic and Information Technologies) at DIN and VDE.
