DIN EN 62769-103-1:2016-03

The DIN EN 62769 series of standards defines the components FDI Package, FDI Server and FDI Client. FDI Packages are supplied by the device manufacturer and contain all the information required for device integration. The device definition includes management information and the device model. The consistency assurance of this device model as well as the communication logic to the device is done by the Business Logic. The description of the presentation of the device parameters and device functions is the task of the User Interface Description. These components of the FDI Package are described with EDDL according to DIN EN 61804-3. Additional elements for operating the field device (user interface plug-ins) have to be integrated, the basic concept of which corresponds to the FDT/DTM concept according to DIN EN 62453. The series defines the integration of intelligent field devices in control systems. This part specifies an FDI profile of DIN EN 62769 for DIN EN 61784-1 CP 3/1(PROFIBUS DP) and DIN EN 61784-1 CP3/2 (PROFIBUS PA). The responsible committee is DKE/K 956 "Feldbus" ("Fieldbus") of the DKE (German Commission for Electrical, Electronic and Information Technologies) at DIN and VDE.
