This part of IEC 61300 describes a procedure to measure guide hole and alignment pin deformation constant, CD for 8 degree angled PC rectangular ferrule multi-fibre connectors.The standards of the DIN EN 61300 series specify basic test and measurement procedures for fibre optic technology. They are primarily directed at manufacturers and testing institutes in order to make the quality of products comparable within the framework of quality tests and thus allow their application in complex systems. The responsible committee is DKE/UK 412.7 "LWL-Verbindungstechnik und passive optische Komponenten" ("Fibre optic interconnecting devices and passive optical components") of the DKE (German Commission for Electrical, Electronic and Information Technologies) at DIN and VDE.
