Overview

Type S7-16 connectors have a characteristic impedance of 50 ohms and can be used up to an operating frequency of 7.5 GHz. They are preferably used for medium and higher power in outdoor applications, for example in mobile radio systems. This standard specifies dimensions, characteristic values, requirements and tests. The responsible committee is DKE/UK 412.4 "Passive HF- und Mikrowellenbauelemente" ("RF and microwave passive components") of the DKE (German Commission for Electrical, Electronic and Information Technologies) at DIN and VDE.
