DIN EN 61169-35:2012-05

This standard specifies dimensions, requirements and tests for high performance RF coaxial connectors, grade 1, as well as for standard test connectors, grade 0, relating to 2,92 series. These connectors have a characteristic impedance of 50 Ω and an inner diameter of the outer conductor of 2,92 mm. They are intended for millimetre wave applications and for connection with RF cables or microstrips. The connectors are applicable for an operating frequency limit of up to 40 GHz. The mating interface requirements of the 2,92 series connectors are similar to IEEE standard 287-2007 (2,92 mm) and MIL-standard-348A (SMK). The 2,92 connectors can be intermated with SMA connectors (IEC 61169-35), and 3,5 mm connectors (IEC 60169-23). The responsible committee is Subcommittee UK 412.4 "Passive HF- und Mikrowellenbauelemente" ("RF and microwave passive components") of the DKE (German Commission for Electrical, Electronic and Information Technologies) at DIN and VDE.
