Overview

This part 11-3 of DIN EN 60695 describes in detail the production of a 500 W test flame by means of two possible methods (A and C) as well as the associated calibration procedures for checking the produced flames. 500 W test flames belong to a number of appropriately standardized test flames available according to other parts of IEC 60695. An application specific consideration of this basic safety publication is subject to the respective committee. The responsible committee is DKE/K 133 "Prüfverfahren und Beurteilung der Brandgefahr von elektronischen Produkten und Isolierstoffen" ("Fire hazard testing of electronic products and insulating material") of the DKE (German Commission for Electrical, Electronic and Information Technologies) at DIN and VDE.
