Overview

This standard is another part of the DIN EN 60317 series, which covers insulated wires for the manufacture of coils in electrical equipment. This part 59 deals with the technical delivery conditions for high-temperature resistant round copper winding wire of class 240, insulated with polyamide-imide resin. The standard shall be applied in conjunction with DIN EN 60317-0-1. The responsible committee is DKE/K 413 "Wickeldrähte" ("Winding wires") of the DKE (German Commission for Electrical, Electronic and Information Technologies) at DIN and VDE.
