This part of IEC 60317 specifies requirements for enamelled rectangular copper wire of class 220 with a primer coating based on polyamide-imide resin which may be modified provided it retains the chemical identity of the original resin and meets all specified wire requirements. The responsible Committee is K 413 "Wickeldrähte" ("Winding wires") of the DKE (German Commission for Electrical, Electronic and Information Technologies) at DIN and VDE.
