DIN EN 4644-201:2016-01

The EN 4644 series of standards describes rectangular electrical and optical connectors in modular design for an operating temperature of 175 °C (or 125 °C), continuous, for aerospace applications. The connectors described in this standard are suitable for use on board commercial and military aircraft for use in control panels and equipment racks under harsh environmental conditions. Part 201 specifies the central locking mechanism for size 2 disconnect housing used in the family of modular rectangular electrical and optical connectors with rectangular contact inserts. The standards of the EN 4644 series of standards are prepared by the ASD-STAN, Technical Section Electrotechnology, with the participation of German experts from DIN Standards Committee Aerospace (NL). AeroSpace and Defence Industries Association of Europe - Standardization (ASD-STAN) has been declared responsible by the European Committee for Standardization (CEN) for preparing European Standards (EN) for the aerospace sector. The responsible German standardization committee is Working Committee NA 131-04-03 AA "Electrical Connectors" at DIN Standards Committee Aerospace (NL).
