DIN EN 4612-009:2012-03

The EN 4612 standard series describes requirements for single- and multicore assembly XLETFE family, jacketed or screened and jacketed, for general use in the on-board electrical systems of aircraft. Part 009 specifies the characteristics of UV laser printable jacket, silver plated copper conductor, electrical cables XLETFE (Crosslinked Ethylene Tetra Fluoro Ethylene co-polymer) family for use in the on-board electrical systems of aircraft at operating temperatures between -65 °C and 150 °C, operating at voltages not exceeding 600 V r.m.s and frequencies not exceeding 2 000 Hz. These cables are suitable for airframe use without additional protection. In case of conflict between this standard and other referenced documents the requirements of this standard shall take precedence. The standards of the EN 4612 series have been prepared by ASD-STAN, Technical Section Electrics, Avionics, with the participation of German experts of the Aerospace Standards Committee. The European Committee for Standardization (CEN) declared the Aerospace and Defence Industries Association of Europe (ASD-STAN) responsible for the preparation of European standards (EN) for the field of aerospace. The responsible German standardization committee is Working Committee NA 131-04-02 AA "Elektrische Leitungen" ("Electric cables") of the Aerospace Standards Committee at DIN.
