DIN EN 4008-008:2011-11

The DIN EN 4008 standard series describes crimping tools and associated accessories which are used for elements of electrical and optical connection for aerospace applications. Part 008 specifies the characteristics for the positioner used with the M22520/7-01 crimping tools to crimp electrical contacts according to EN 4008-002. With respect to DIN EN 4008-008:2007-11, the dimensions of the positioner have been changed in 4.2. The previous design is given as model 1 "Do not use for new design" and the new design is given as model 2. Therefore, an A for the new model 2 has been added in the identity block in clause 5 in order to differentiate between the two models. This standard of the EN 4008 series has been prepared by ASD-STAN, Technical Section Electrics, Avionics, with the participation of German experts of the Aerospace Standards Committee. The European Committee for Standardization (CEN) declared the Aerospace and Defence Industries Association of Europe (ASD-STAN) responsible for the preparation of European standards (EN) for the field of aerospace. The responsible German standardization committee is Working Committee NA 131-04-03 AA "Elektrische Verbindungselemente" ("Connector") of the Aerospace Standards Committee at DIN.
