The standards of the EN 3155 series describe electrical contacts for use in aerospace connectors. The new edition of part 065 defines the requirements, tests and tools for male electrical contacts, type A, crimp, class S, size 8 for use in connectors according to EN 3155-002. It shall be used together with EN 3155-001. The associated female contacts are defined in EN 3155-083. The following changes have been made compared to DIN EN 3155-065:2014-04: a) The reference in the scope to the associated female contacts has been changed to EN 3155-083; b) The normative references have been partially changed or supplemented; c) Figure 1 has been revised; d) The mass specifications in Table 1 have been increased; e) In Table 4 references have been included for the M22520/23-01 tools and additional columns for manual tools have also been included; f) in Table 5 information has been included for the insertion tools and for the extraction tools for unwired contacts; g) in Table 7 the temperature information was exchanged for the test in accordance with EN 2591-305, and additional notes were included for the tests in accordance with EN 2591-402 and EN 2591-403 as well as for EN 2591-509; h) in the identification block the delivery code was omitted. The standards of the EN 3155 series are prepared by the ASD-STAN, Technical Section Electrotechnology, with the participation of German experts from DIN Standards Committee Aerospace (NL). AeroSpace and Defence Industries Association of Europe - Standardization (ASD-STAN) has been declared responsible by the European Committee for Standardization (CEN) for preparing European Standards (EN) for the aerospace sector. The responsible German standardization committee is Working Committee NA 131-04-03 AA "Elektrische Verbindungselemente" ("Electrical connectors") at DIN Standards Committee Aerospace (NL).
