The standard specifies the properties of silver-plated, serrated, self-locking FE-PA92HT heat resisting steel shank nuts in the tensile strength class 1 100 MPa at room temperature, maximum operating temperature 650 °C. These nuts are predominantly designed for connections in aerospace that are subject to tensile stress when the nut cannot be operated with a wrench.
