This European Standard specifies the dimensions and tolerances of sheets and strips, cold rolled, in steel, thickness 0,1 mm ≤ a ≤ 3 mm, for aerospace applications. The standard EN 2589 has been prepared by the Aerospace and Defence Industries Association of Europe - Standardization (ASD-STAN) with the participation of German experts from DIN Standards Committee Aerospace (NL). The responsible German standardization committee is NA 131-02-05 AA "Metallische Werkstoffe" ("Metallic materials") at DIN Standards Committee Aerospace (NL).
