Overview

This standard specifies an Interoperable Application Profile on communication level for AVI/AEI and electronic register identification (ERI) connecting to a DSRC-interface. The objective is to support technical interoperability between ERI systems. This includes the equipment compatibility between equipment suppliers and technical compatibility between different systems compliant with this standard. Potential areas of application: vehicle-theft protection - vehicle access control - road toll collection - vehicle registration - traffic flow control Potential users: (ERI) system providers - vehicle manufacturers - software developers - manufacturers and users of the aforementioned applications The committee responsible for this standard is NA 052-02-71 GA "Gemeinschaftsarbeitsausschuss NAAutomobil/DKE: Telematik" ("Joint working committee NAAutomobil/DKE: Road traffic telematics") at DIN.
