This standard is the German translation of Recommendation OIML R 107-1:2007 "Discontinuous totalizing automatic weighing instruments (totalizing hopper weighers) - Part 1: Metrological and technical requirements - Tests" published by the International Organization for Legal Metrology (OIML). This document specifies requirements and test methods for discontinuous totalizing automatic weighing instruments (totalizing hopper weighers). Its purpose is the introduction of consistent requirements and test methods in order to enable consistent and traceable assessment of the metrological and technical characteristics of a weighing instrument. A standardized test report is given in Part 2 of the International Recommendation OIML R 107-2. This standard applies to weighing instruments where the load receptor is a container. This standard does not apply to the following types of weighing instruments: weighing instruments where the load is moved during the weighing process, weighing instruments where the weight of the total amount is determined by multiplying a predetermined load by the number of weighing cycles. In the course of implementing the European Measuring Instruments Directive 2004/22/EC (MID), the European Commission has named OIML R 107-1 a so-called "normative document" in the Official Journal C 269 of 4 November 2006. With respect to Article 13 of the MID, the member states presume conformity of a measuring instrument with the basic requirements of the directive if it is in accordance with the corresponding specifications in the normative documents named by the EU Commission. OIML R 107-1 is granted therewith considerable significance in national practical implementation. Therefore, Working Committee NA 152-05-01 AA "Wägetechnik" ("Weighing technology") of NA 152 (NATG) decided to make the official German translation of OIML R 107-1 generally available through the publication of a DIN standard.
This document replaces DIN 8130:2004-02 .
