DIN 65424 specifies requirements for spotlights with 134 mm effective diameter which are preferably used in the wings of aircraft as spotlights for take-off and landing. The spotlight is suitable for ambient temperatures from -55 °C up to 70 °C and flight heights up to 25 000 m. This document differs from DIN 65424:1981-12 as follows: The scope has been modified. This document does not apply to new design. In comparison with the previous document, no technical modifications have been made. This document has been prepared by Working Committee NA 131-04-06 AA "Lampen und Leuchten" ("Lamps") of the DIN Standards Committee Aerospace (NL).
This document replaces DIN 65424:1981-12 .
