This standard applies to the calculation and determination of the permissible loads for suspensions taking into account length and slope of the track for: - rail tracks, shown by the example of railprofile I 140 E according to DIN 20593; - suspensions, if executed in accordance with DIN 20629-1 to DIN 20629-3; - abutments for mounting suspensions. For suspension loads, any masses due to the payload and dead load including the own weight of vehicles suspended from the rail are taken into account that are carried by the travelling trolleys, track, suspensions and abutments. The equations established in this standard are examples for the currently most commonly used rail with railprofile I 140 E according to DIN 20593. They can also be used for the calculation of other railprofiles and rail-connections of similar geometries. The standard has been prepared by NA 008-05-02 AA "Einschienenhängebahnen" ("Suspended monorails") of FABERG.
This document replaces DIN 20622:2002-11 .
