1.1 This practice is used to identify cationic emulsified asphalts. Positively charged particles are classified as cationic. Emulsified asphalts that don't register a positive charge may also be classified as cotionic slow-setting if they coat a specific type of negatively charged silica sand. 1.2 The values stated in SI units are to be regarded as standard.
