Overview

This Technical Specification provides a test procedure for evaluating the performance of Low Voltage Ride-Through (LVRT) functions in inverters used in utility-interconnected PV systems, and it also provides information that can be used for testing a complete PV power plant. It is most applicable to large systems where PV inverters are connected to utility HV distribution systems. However, the applicable procedures may also be used for low-voltage systems in locations where evolving LVRT requirements include such systems, for example, in single-phase or three-phase systems. The LVRT performance evaluated applies only to the specific configuration and mode of operation of the tested inverter. The measurement procedures are designed to be as non-site-specific as possible. The responsible committee is DKE/K 373 "Photovoltaische Solarenergie-Systeme" ("Photovoltaic solar power systems") of the DKE (German Commission for Electrical, Electronic and Information Technologies) at DIN and VDE.
