Overview

This protection profile for secure signature creation devices with key generation and trusted communication with signature creation application (SSCD/SCA) has been prepared as a generally accepted standard for products for the creation of electronic signatures. The purpose of this protection profile is the specification of functional safety requirements and requirements for the reliability for a secure signature creation device (SSCD). This standard supports trusted communication with a signature creation application for the protection of authentication data and of data to be signed and thus contributes to secure data traffic. At DIN the committee responsible for this standard is NA 043-01-17-04 UA "Austauschprotokolle bei Chipkarten" ("Exchange protocols for integrated circuit cards").
