This standard specifies safety requirements and test methods related to materials, safety and performance for classified floating leisure articles for use on and in the water according to clause 4. This document (EN 15649-1) is only applicable with EN 15649-2 and the relevant specific parts (EN 15649-3 to EN 15649-7). This standard is a product standard which is applicable with DIN EN 15649-1 to -7. The standard deals in particular with aspects of (product) safety. This standard contains modifications of DIN EN 15649-1:2009. The committee responsible for this standard is NA 112-05-09 AA "Aufblasbare schwimmende Freizeitgeräte einschließlich aufblasbarer Boote und Zubehör" ("Inflatable floating leisure articles including inflatable boats and mountings") at DIN.
