This document specifies the requirements for the test to assess the friction behaviour of foils under pressure conditions, such as those which can occur on the format shoulder of tubular bag machines. This method is particularly suitable if the measured values determined using the method according to DIN EN ISO 8295:2004-10 do not allow sufficient differentiation between films with different running behaviour on these tubular bag machines. The main difference between this method and DIN EN ISO 8295:2004-10 is a higher pressure with a simultaneous punctiform contact surface. To assess the friction behaviour of foils under the influence of temperature and simultaneous high pressure, as can occur, for example, on warm guide tables on which the package is not fully supported, this method can also be carried out on a heated test table. The document has been prepared by Working Committee NA 115-02-01 AA "Flexible, flächige Packmittel - Folien, Säcke, Beutel, Tragetaschen" ("Flexible, flat means of packaging - Foils, sacks, bags, carrier bags") at DIN Standards Committee Packaging (NAVp).
