DIN 25457-1:2014-12

This document applies for activity measurements in the framework of the release of radioactive substances as well as mobile objects, buildings, areas, installations or parts of installations that are activated or contaminated, originating from activities in the context of the Strahlenschutz-Verordnung (the German Radiation Protection Act) (StrlSchV) and are intended for use, recovery, disposal, possession or proliferation to third parties as non-radioactive substances. This document shall also be applied when removing mobile objects from controlled areas according to § 44, Chapter 3 StrlSchV (Radiation Protection Ordinance). In the following text specifications for the release also apply for the removal. In cases where the releases are planned from handling in accordance with § 7 StrSchV and conservative calibration of the measurement devices is in line with the requirements (see 4.1.4), the prodedure according to DIN 25457-1, Supplement 1, is possible.
